Ahhh Monday.....

I must say this was a very good weekend. I got the oldest from his mother on Friday night so he actually got to stay over for 3 days and 2 nights. She has him in every freakin sport and boyscout activity under the fucking sun. But it is good for him and since she is still home-skooling him these are great places for him to mingle with other kids his age. On the same note....he will be starting real skool this September. He cannot wait! When I asked him what part he is looking forward to he said (and I shit you not): "The girls!" He is a 10 year old girlie hound. The apple never falls far from the tree I guess, poor poor boy. lol

I have nothing against home-skooling, hell if you can afford it go for it. But what has me a little worried about home-skoolin in NJ is that there are no checks and balancing there. All one has to do to home-skool in NJ is say that you are going to do it. No test, no state regulated forms and no visit from the state to make sure the home is a proper teaching environment. Now, in the state of New Jesery everything is policed and regulated, right down to you fucking dog you own. But there is nothing that keeps a person from teaching their child bullshit or just wrong information. They seem more concerned about the evils of fireworks than they do about the children of the future. I found out from my grandmother that in the state of Alabama, anyone that wants to home-skool has to past certain test and has to be certified by the state. Not everyone is fit to be a teacher.

I am not saying the mother of my oldest is not a fit teacher but where are the regulations, the fees, the checks and all the other government control the state imposes on everything else in our world? I cannot even buy smokes online from other countries anymore because the government found it against some law. But I can legally teach my children the Christopher Columbus was a thieving rapist that brought nothing but death and plagues to this new world (America is not named after him.......hmmmmm) that he never actually landed on......oh wait that is what really happened.

Hmmmm, maybe there is something to this home-skooling thing. Our teachers taught us all kinds of screwed up bullshit in skool. Anyone remember the cherry tree story......political propaganda bullshit, Paul Ravers rider.....wrong person, JFK....lets not even go there!

Maybe I can probably teach my kids better than I was taught, but then again would I have the patients not to kill them? Probably not, let my taxes work for me some-what. And besides if I out-source teaching soon there will be teachers outside protesting I stole their jobs from them.

Enough of my rambling about something I am not really not going to do anything about. If you are not going to go out and change it, leave it alone. hehe

Lets get into my weekend:

Cleaned the pool, cut some grass, got some bootie, had a few beers, washed some clothes, grilled up some dead animal flesh and just had an over all good summer time weekend!

Weekend in pictures:

1) The mans grill with a girlie drink. What can I say, I am a sucker for grape flavored drinks!

2) Cheese does not like the feel of grass on his person. He will just sit there until someone picks him up. I personally do not like the feel either.

3) He is not as much of a water baby, but he will float around like a turd in the punch bowl for a while.

4) I used the self timer to get this shot. The funny part is while I was posing here my son and the brother in law were splashing water down my shorts. It took some self-control not to run screaming like a little bitch, that water was cold!

5) Mr.Nono's in his floatie and the other water monkeys.

Have a fun Monday. This next picture was a fun Monday find, there were some others but they were a little to much XXX for a Monday. Most people have to ease into the hardcore stuff, this is like the lubrication before the Speed Hump.

i've been to your blog numerous times throughout my blogging career....I've changed id's a couple of times because of X problems. You might remember me from the idiots guide to marriage?

ba: Funny I do remeber that, sorry about the X problems. They always seem to ruin things for the rest of us. I have yet to have to chage since I started, but then again I have neer told my X about my blogging lol

I like the idea of homeschooling. You don't need any fancy degrees, just turn on youtube. The kids can learn vocabulary from the tourettes guy, drama from the dramatic chipmunk, and sociology by analyzing the lyrics to Chocolate Rain.

Jones: youtube can teach you just about anything. Mostly what not to do with power tools, cucumbers and tazer guns. All in the same home movie to boot!

I think home schooling is wrong, just on the grounds that learning social skills is as important as learning whatever it is you learn in schools (Don't ask me, I hated that shit so much I got myself suspended 7 times and expelled 3!

Home schooling kicks ass. After my parents left me on the side of the road, I was taken in by a mountain lion possessed by the spirit of Friedrich Nietzsche. He home schooled me until I went to college, and I think I turned out great.

I could not handle home skoolin' my hoodlums... they drive me nuts just from the time they get home from school til I scream for them to go to bed... I could not deal with them all damn day!
Anyone who does that has my admiration and sympathy!
Nice Pool though!

I look forward to the day I can tell my kids a whole bunch of shit that fucked with me as a kid. I would be a great teacher, but I want my kids to play with other kids rather than keep them at home. I was homeschooled for my final couple of years in high school. I was kicked out and not allowed to even go on the campus of the normal high school ever again. Homeschooling for me was basically just paying for my highschool diploma, it was so easy, I taught myself I didn't have a tutor or anything.

If George W wanted to start home schooling I'm sure he would be "certified" by any state.

You probably do "like the feel", just not of grass.
